I have a question, too.
Can silver eye appear on any eye color? It seems to be most prominent on grey and blue eyes.
Rach touched on this, but I remember reading here somewhere that the green and brown (?) eyes were made differently. Does this make then less likely to get silver eye?
I can't remember reading here, or seeing anywhere else about a brown or green eyed doll that had Silver eye, seems to always be Kirsten, or Molly, or one of the Today dolls with blue or grey eyes.

Here's what 'Stasia's silver eye looked like before her eye transplant...

She had it bad and looked extremely skeery.

Sorry this is late! Since I don't visit a lot, sometimes I search for my name, and it helps me find threads I should reply to.
Here are photos of my Molly doll with silver eye:

I've had the doll for 16 years (she's a West German doll), and made the decision to not send her in for repairs and keep her "original." Thankfully, the condition has not progressively gotten worse, although it began a year ago. Since Molly's eyes are gray, I don't think it looks *too* bad. It's not noticeable from a distance, unless the light is shining directly into the eye.
My doll was never exposed to moisture. I played with her when younger, but was very careful and considered her a "collector" item. I do think it's a manufacturer flaw rather than abuse by the owner, although I suppose some could possibly be caused by that.
I know a lot of people are grossed out by it, and I was shocked and upset at first. Now it's just something that makes my Molly unique.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">My brown eyed AGT had it (the one with medium skin, textured hair, and dark brown eyes). Her eye turned completely silver. I got her head replaced (they tried to just do the eyes, but it "was not successful"), regretted it, and sold her on ebay a few months ago. Also, my Samantha is from 1991 and she seems to have silver flecks in her brown eyes. They aren't getting any worse though, so I wonder if her eyes are just flecky, like PM Felicity's are flecked with black. I keep meaning to post a picture and ask for a "diagnosis" from the group. All my dolls with light eyes are fine.Quote:

I just found out yesterday that my German Molly has silver eye, and it looks exactly the way Melissa's dolls does )=. I think I might send her in for a new pre-Mattel head...But my Molly has a very different look from the other pre-Mattel dolls, and I love the way she looks!
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">At first I was really upset, but now I think she's special for being different. She now isn't only a 16 year old doll, but she looks her age, too. I think of the dolls I see on Antiques Roadshow, and how they are worn. But every piece of wear on them shows how much they were loved by the little girls that owned them so long ago. Each little flaw just adds character.Quote:

My Addy had killer silver eye. And let me tell you, against that dark skin of hers, it didn't look so hot. I sent her in, and without even my asking, they didn't give her a new head. They just replaced the eye. They much have some PM eyes because her eyelashes are still soft on both eyes. Poor thing, the only thing I could think of when I saw her was the Terminator. Kirsten has silvereye as well, but her eyes are so pale, you can hardly tell. I'm going to send her in pretty soon, with a note saying only to change her head for a PM one if it's necessary. She might have NO coloring (she's pasty) and a major overbite (she's one of those awkward transition dolls from right when Mattel was taking over and the dolls looked a little weird), but she looks like Kirsten to me, and if she looked a lot different, I wouldn't know what to do!
